Izabellah Diez is an actress, singer, fashionista, and competitive Cheerleader. She is proving to the world that you can do anything you set your mind to with hard work and determination. I recently had the opportunity to interview Izabellah on her latest projects and her plans for the future.
You recently released a Holiday single. Tell us about how that came about.
I had so much fun releasing the holiday single. The way it came about is I found a love in singing. So, I decided to start taking lessons. The rest is history.
Will you be releasing more music in the future?
Thank you, I actually do plan on releasing more music in the future. I am currently writing my own original. So, stay tuned.
You’ve been working on several new film projects lately. Tell us about those projects. When can we expect to see them released?
Yes, I have been working on several projects. One of my projects that I completed is going to release sometime in March. It is called “Gacy, Terror in Suburbia”. It is about when the Devil moves in next door. I play Jessica, best friend to Bobby who figures out what Gacy is doing. The other project I am currently working on is “My Father’s Fiancé”. I am very excited about this one because I am one of the leads in it. I play Jenny a girl who comes from a divorced family whose father decides to marry a young woman that really is only in the game for his money. There is a lot of action and suspense. You definitely won’t be disappointed.
If you had to choose between acting and singing which one would you choose and why?
WOW, that is tough. I really love them both. But at the end of the day, I really want to be known as an actor who can sing. Acting is such an amazing feeling getting to dive into characters and be someone that you are not.
When you’re not working you are part of a Cheer squad. How did you get started in Cheer?
Yes, Cheer I would say is my absolute first love. I have been cheering since I was 3 years old. There is nothing about cheer that I do not love. I have my cheer family who is also AMAZING!
How often do you practice Cheer? Do you compete as well?
I practice cheer 3 times a week for 5 hours a day. I do compete. My family and I travel to a lot of different competitions across the country. It is such a fun experience. I have learned a lot about myself during these moments.
At one time you wrote a fashion blog for a magazine. What got you interested in fashion and what are your favorite brands? Describe your style.
I have always loved fashion. Ever since I was young. My favorite brands are Gucci and Louie Vuitton.
What are you most looking forward to in 2023?
The most I am looking forward to in 2023 is both of my movies. I am so excited for the premier of them. It will be epic.
Tell us something people might be surprised to know about you.
What I think people would be surprised to know about me is that I can work on cars. I can do an oil change, brakes and change a tire. I have been working on cars since I was 2 years old with my dad. He is a real car enthusiast.
