Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez got hitched for life on Saturday in Las Vegas. They used items from their own wardrobes for their little wedding.
For the intimate event, Lopez had two gowns available. The first was an antique that had special meaning for the bride.
In an emotional film published on Sunday in her newsletter announcing the big news, Lopez stated, “I’ve had this dress for so many years and I’ve just been keeping it and now I’m wearing it on my big day.”
The touching video was also shared on Instagram by her hairdresser, who captioned it “Last minute sentiments before the wedding.”
At the renowned Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Lopez changed into a stunning, head-turning Zuhair Murad wedding dress. Lopez donned a white lace, off-the-shoulder dress with long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, a corset bodice, and a fishtail train to exchange their “vows.” To round off her outfit, she wore a similar veil with lace trimming.
In terms of makeup, Lopez had her trademark bronzy glow, soft smokey eye, and peachy-nude lip along with voluminous, bouncy curls.
In her most recent romantic comedy, Marry Me, the legendary singer made headlines by donning a “Zuhair Murad Bridal Couture” gown. She has frequently consulted the Lebanese fashion designer for stunning red carpet outfits.
Affleck chose a white tuxedo jacket from his wardrobe to wear.
They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle, Lopez wrote in her On the JLo newsletter. “So with the greatest observers you might ever assume, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives. But in the end, it turned out to be the most perfect wedding we could have hoped for.
Lopez also expressed his gratitude to the Little White Wedding Chapel for allowing him to change while he was in the break room and Ben was in the men’s room.
